Just Bee Mee began the way all the best stories do — with a little creativity, a little nostalgia, and a lifelong love of discovering beautiful things.

I’ve always loved making things. Creating with my hands has been part of who I am since I was young, and it eventually grew into a dream: to work for myself and build something joyful, personal, and meaningful. When I started selling online, I naturally blended two parts of my life — the handmade items I love to create, and the vintage treasures I’ve always loved to find.

Where it all began

I grew up in Lancaster, PA, where treasure hunting was practically a family tradition. Weekends were spent going to thrift stores, garage sales, flea markets, and antique shops. My dad searched for vinyl records — especially LPs — to add to his huge collection. My mom collected charming housewares and quirky pieces that gave our home its personality.

The living room was the heart of it all. It was filled with interesting finds, but the fireplace mantle always stood out. Friends and family constantly commented on the mantle because it held so many neat, unique things — little vintage treasures, colorful pieces, and conversation starters. Everywhere you looked in that room, there was something with character or a story behind it. People loved visiting our home because it felt warm, fun, and full of charm.

My grandmother was a big influence in a different, special way. She loved crafting and always gave us little projects to do — like cross stitch or other handmade creations. She encouraged creativity, patience, and attention to detail, and that love of making things has stayed with me my whole life. I do have one cherished memory of going antiquing with her in Colorado, where we even found a Beatles record for my dad — a moment that still makes me smile today.

Why I do this

I started Just Bee Mee because I wanted to work for myself and build something that reflects the joy I’ve always found in creativity and treasure hunting. Every item in my shop — handmade, vintage, or new vintage — is chosen with intention and a spark of nostalgia.
